Phoenix Media Direct is proud to have been presented with the 2008 Urban Impact Certificate of Diversion as we helped keep 416 cubic yards of waste out of the land fill.
Over the past 14 years Phoenix Media Direct has been engaged in its own recycling program know as the “core pick up”. The focus of this program has been to continually re-use our cores to reduce the amount of waste currently going into our landfills and to help cut costs. With more and more people becoming concerned about their “Carbon Footprint” Phoenix Media chose to expand its current program to include the pick up of bags, end caps and empty toner cartridges….and presto! the Green Planet Program was born.
The Green Planet Program focuses on one thought….providing environmentally friendly products to our customers as an alternative to traditional printing materials and at a competitive price. New items are being tested daily, but the core products are our ECO Bond and WRP Banner Material. The ECO Bond is a 20lb paper comprised of 30% post consumer waste content, this paper is wound onto recycled cores and packaged back into the bags that are picked up by our driver. The WRP Matte Polypropylene Banner material is truly unique by being one of the first products offered that is MADE from 100% recycled material.

- HP sponsors the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Program which enables you to drop off rechargeable batteries and cell phones for recycling at no charge to most retail locations across Canada.
- Phoenix Media received a certificate of diversion from Urban Impact for diverting 416 cubic yards or the equivalent of 208 full size pick up trucks from our landfills.
