What is a "Photographic Paper"

Photo paper can typically be described as a specialty paper used for printing photographs, usually available in Satin, Matte and Gloss….easy? Not anymore.

With the appearance of newer advanced printers and the increase in volume printing, photo paper is no longer restricted for use in just photographs. These papers are now being used as substitutes for poster printing, retail signage and light weight indoor banner material. At Phoenix, we’ve done our best to “class” these papers by using the “Good, Better and Best” scenario to help you determine the best match for your job.

As with any product, we strongly recommend that you refer to each products specification sheet for more detailed information. These sheets are an invaluable asset when determining laminate and mounting recommendations, ink saturation points and recommended printer usage. These guidelines are created by the manufacturers to save you time and money!

"GOOD" Paper
Typically these are papers that offer good image quality and are often used as printing alternatives for POP/retail signage, indoor banner material and other economy signage. These are ideal for large quantity runs as the biggest determining factor is normally price point.
